Rebecca Kelley graduated with distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2024, earning a degree in English and Comparative Literature with a concentration in Film Studies as well as minors in Music and Marine Sciences. She served as an editor for UNC’s premier film journal, Aspect, honing her editorial and writing skills while working as part of a successful team of peers. Rebecca is very interested in how media informs and shapes human
experience, merging her lifelong passion for creative writing with her detail-oriented research skills to form new conclusions about the world around us. She is the recipient of the 2024-2025 Best Undergraduate Essay in Film Studies Award and her work has been published in Aspect.
In her free time, she loves watching and analyzing film, playing tennis, scuba diving, reading mid-century science fiction novels, and playing the cello.
